Thom Yorke and company surprised everyone (again) when news of King Of Limbs imminent arrival struck the twittersphere and beyond... this concise and deeply engrossing work is certainly worth the hype. They do taut, bass riddled psych-funk (Morning Mr Magpie), scattergun electronics inspired by Four Tet, Lotus (Feral) aching, bare-bones balladry (Codex) and sweet, spine-tingling John Martyn-esque 21C folk (Lotus Flower, Separator). A beautiful record (what-else), destined to be another high point in a glittering catalogue.
