The inaugural release on the now mythical Basic Channel label, dropped by Mark Ernestus and Moritz von Oswald under their Cyrus alias in 1993. Deceptively busy with minimal palettes, the tracks plunge forward with a constant 4/4 driving intricate variations, epilogued by the mystique of the beatless machinations of ‘Recall’. The project's legendary status was no doubt helped on this first record by Jeff Mills’ mix, who renders the track's pulsating flurries of buzzes and stabs sharper yet smokier all at once, caught in a whirlwind whizzing from left to right.
