After a string of well-received EPs and singles on labels like Let’s Play House and Lobster Theremin, Spanish producer Pépe is finally ready to drop his latest LP for the Lapsus label entitled Reclaim. Alongside his usual blend of traditional folk instrumentation and ambient sound design, Pépe finds a new charge here in the more kinetic sounds of hyperpop and braindance. Tracks like ‘Optical : Activate’ show off a new rhythmic side of Pépe, and it certainly looks good on the Valencian man.
