Recent Skam signings Meatbingo - apparently a super group, members currently unknown - set out a full-length on the label. It sounds like being trapped inside an arcade machine, 'Negate the Fool' making use of chaotic bleeping and a frenzy of peppered 808s and diced up vocals. Title track 'Trendy Robots' is squirming electronic funk of the most jittery kind, while 'Po Face and Cloth Ears' rattles with even more exuberance. 'Citric Circuit' is retro-futurism done in the best of ways, while the slinky bass of 'Cerebroid' is positively riotous. A record of colour and whirring electronic fun.
