Originally released on Editions Mego in 2014 and now remastered and reissued Oren Ambarchi's own Black Truffle label, the Australian guitarist and percussionist assembled a wealth of talent for this crowning work, the Quixotism. An album in five parts, it was recorded over two years across the globe and features the guest work of Thomas Brinkmann, Jim O' Rourke and Ilan Volkov & the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra among others. Droning rock sounds, pulsating electronics and acoustic pulses abound, a seductive variety of sounds and influences coming together under this master composer Ambarchi's singular vision.
