MIKE, nèe Michael Bonema, shares new single “Bear Trap.” Co-produced by longtime collaborator Darryl Johnson and MIKE, under his dj blackpower alias, the new song and its accompanying video directed by Chris Currence, is the latest offering and opening track of his imminent new album Showbiz!, out January 31st via 10k. Alongside the new single, MIKE has unveiled the album’s cover artwork by Tzadi and the full tracklist, which includes features from 454 and duendita, and guest production from Thelonious Martin, Salami Rose Joe Louis, Jacob Rochester, Anysia Kym, Harrison (SURF GANG), ShunGu, Laron and redLee. Showbiz! examines the various iterations of himself that MIKE has shared through his music, and reflects on the upsides and downsides of reaching success as a professional musician: the higher highs and lower lows of show business.
