Having operated in the same circles and admired each other's work for years, Daniel Avery, Working Men's Club, and Ghost Culture form a formidable supergroup on their debut EP Demise Of Love. Rather than distill their sounds into a neat package, they explore their range across these tracks: charred and corrosive EBM plus reverent ambience makes for equal parts deadly and dreamy electropop on ‘Strange Little Consequence’, while the snarling distorted vocals of ‘Be A Man’ channel power through buzzing guitars, a dazzling swarm of synths and a jackhammering rhythm.
