After reminiscing with the 25th anniversary edition of his debut Timeless, Goldie is reviving more of his stamp on drum and bass history as he presents the first new album from his alias Rufige Kru since 2009. With Submotive now in the lineup, Rufige Kru exact speedy and unrelenting breakbeat carnage throughout Alpha Omega, flying from heaving and brutal drum workouts to lush, ethereal synth passages. Atmosphere is just as important as the raw kinetic energy here, as extroverted rave synths and blistering beats scramble and slice through fluctuating ambience, while CASISDEAD provides vicious verses over equally frantic, bass powered rhythms on ‘Still The Same’.
