Beau Wanzer and fellow Trilogy Tapes duo Rezzett (Lukid + Tapes) are some of the grittiest producers around; combining their talents is sure to push their brands of leftfield techno into oblivion, and their collaboration as Borez certainly delivers. The trio are totally unpredictable in the directions they travel on this EP, dragging the dancefloor along by its neck as they contort the throbbing rhythms of each track. The rave stabs of ‘Rubber Eater’ foam with distortion, crushed by diamond pressure as beats splash, while ‘Lomp’ redlines its overdriven drum machine boxing match with grunting samples following each percussive wallop.
