Special Request takes the reins for Fabriclive 91. Paul Woolford launched his Special Request project in 2012 as a channel for rougher, coarser dance music than his clean house and techno material. Woolford is no stranger to the Fabric family, having released his first Special Request album on Fabric’s child label, Houndstooth. This compilation is well overdue and well worth the wait. Featuring tracks from Carl Craig, Claro Intelecto and Dillinja, the mix reaches almost every rave culture touchpoint. From 4/4 and techno to jungle and breakcore, it moves with hyperactive pace and shows the incredible breadth of Woolford’s Special Request character.
